MAC annual Chinese Lunar New Year Gala 2020

           Today about three hundreds Malaysian expatrite living in Canada gather at Grandeur Palace at 128-2301,  Brimley Road, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 3L6 to celebrate the 2020 Chinese Lunar New Year of the Metal Rat. Malaysian truely show Canadian that we are real Canadian and do not stigma and group by race, religion, sexual orientation and others during this period of  NOVID-19 problem.

           This event was honour by the attendant of her excellency Dato 'Nor Aini Abd Hamid the high commissioner of Malaysia to Canada who is highly admired by Malaysian expatriate and Canadian who were from Malaysia prior to moving to Canada. Also we were proud to have Hon. Suan Chen ( 陳聖源) Member of Parliament of Scarborough North, who despite his busy schedule honour our community, came to attend our function to deliver a message from Canadian Prime Minister.

            Everyone who attended this function happy to be continually entertained by the various activities that this event is definately a huge success.

             Kong See Fatt Chai (wishing you a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year). On February 5th., 2019 the Chinese all over the world celebrated their Chinese Lunar new year of the earth Pig. The Chinese celebrate their New Year in a sixty years cycle, which is the twelve animals and five elements. 2019 is the year of the pig and this year is the earth element. The pig is the last animal of the twelve animals in the because although the dog, roaster and the pig were to reach the finish line together. Somehow the pig home was burned to the ground so it had to help rebuild the house before it can continue with the race.

             This year the Malaysian Association of Canada celebrated their annual Chinese Lunar New Year Gala at Gold Mark Chinese Restaurant at  7501 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 2W1 on February 9th., 2019. More than three hundred children to seniors were in attendance. The gala was jam pack with cultural dances, talented singer and lion dance. Like all the past year the Malaysian Association of Canada once again were very fortunate to had the great fortune of having the God of Fortune present to help spread good wishes and handing out special red packets to everyone. Hopefully, we would see you in all our future events for 2019.

Celebration of Life Gala (for Senator Tobias Evanager)

Friday, November 30th., 2018 at Metropolitan Centre,  3840 Finch Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T 3T4

                    Tonight, hundreds of Canadians of Filipinos descendants attended a gala to celebrate the achievements of the Late Honourable Senator Tobais C Enverga as well as to raise funds for the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF).  This is a dinner dance entertainment event organized by the Phillippine Canadian Charitable Foundation and Mrs Rosemer Enverga.

                     In appreciation of the late Honourable Senator Tobias charitable work especially in his country of birth, the Honourable Senator Victor Oh who was appointed to the Senate a couple months apart spoke to the crowds about how hardworking he was and how dedicated he was too special need children.

Canadian Multicultural Council 2018 Annual Potluck party

                     Annually the Canadian Multicural Council has been organizing the annual fall potluck to gather all member cultural organization in one place for networking and to foster greater cooperation over a multicultural, foods and entertainment. in 2018 the group had the potluck party at the Chinese Cultural Centre at 5183. Shepherd Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada M1B 5Z6 at 6:00 in the evening.

                     The Canadian Multicultural Council - Asian in Ontario has twenty-five active members organizing many functions to encouraging the members to foster a better relationship and citizenship.

'                      In the past years, the organization were fortunate to have the members of the Senate attending and enjoying the event. Unfortunately, this year due to the conflict in schedule none were able to attend event Hon. Member of Parliment Shawn Chan had to were able to squeeze a short visit to this event due to his tight schedule.

                       All participants. attending this year function agreed that the variety and plentiful delicious foods were not a surprise. It is like travelling to most of the Asian countries without stepping out of Canada. On top of the many delicious foods, everyone was entertained to a variety of cultural dances and entertainment.

29th. Annual Malaysian Association of Canada Golf Tournament at Royal Stouffville Golf Club

Sunday July 22nd., 2018 at Royal Stouffville Golf Club, Stoffville, Ontario Canada.

                 Malaysian Association of Canadian annual golf tournament was held in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada instead of their usually site at Angus Glen, in Markham, Ontario. Although, the weather was rainy during the first half of the tournament but it was later turn into a great golfing day for all the competitors.

                In the past events, after the game the awards presentation was usually held at a nearby Chinese Restaurant but this year the closing awards ceremony was also held at Royal Stouffville Golf Club with a generous portion of all you can eat salad bar with an 8 ounces steaks cook to your liking and a generous serving of desert with self serve coffee or tea.

               However, unlike previous year there were fewer participants due to the change of venue as well as the travel distance to the venue. Furthermore, the weather was also a factor with some last minutes no show. On the whole it was a successful, and enjoyable game for all who attended. Although, mother nature did not cooperated for half an hour during the tournament but that did not dampened everyone's spirits.

27th Annual Malaysian Association of Canada Charity Golf Tournament

Sunday July 17th., 2016 at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham.

      Mother nature couldn't had been good to the Malaysian Association of Canada this with a wonderful weather, with bright sunshine cool breeze tgold.hrought out the tournament period. Wow, what blessing for all the participantswho had generously donated and their time and money to enjoy the great outdoor for a round of golf.

           This year five thousand Canadian dollars were collected and donate to the Scrabourough General Hospital foundation and two tousand five hundreds Canadian dollars to the Hong Fook Mental Health Association.

Malaysian Association of Canada twenty sixth annual golf tournament 2015

Mother nature knew that the Malaysian Association plan to have their twenty sixth annual golf tournament on Sunday July 26th. 2015 and cooperated by providing the best weather for Malaysian Association because the past year had delay problem due to rain.

Beside having fun the Malaysian Association of Canada also help raised six thousand Canadian dollars for the Scarborough Hospital Foundation.

Canadian Multicultural Council honour Canadian of Asian origin for outstanding Community works

Malaysian Association of Canada celebrate Lunar Chinese New Year at Casa Deluz Banquet Hall, Toronto

          Saturday March 7th., 2015 was a beautiful evening with mother nature even cooperating with a once in a lifetime beautiful weather. Although Chinese Lunar New Year was on February 19th 2015 and stretch for the next fifteen days the Malaysian Association had particularly chosen to celebrate this year Lunar New Year on March 7th 2015 to avoid clashes with other organization celebrating on the same day within the two weeks of Chinese New Year celebration. From the response of all those who attended the evening events, it was all worth the wait because it happen on the week that they we free of other commitments.

          Although Malaysian Association of Canada is a non political, non-religious but cultural organization to help its members who migrated from Malaysia to Canada to integrate into Canadian culture it also want to help foster better relation between Canada and Malaysia. While Malaysian has and had always been a cohesive  multicultural society since its independence from England in 1957 it shared the same culture as Canada. As part of the mandate of the Malaysian Association is to help Canadian learn Malaysian rich culture and to foster the Malaysian tourism this event help to enhance both countries friendship with Canadian elected members of parliament and the Malaysian Ambassador to Canada in attendances.

                In order to bring down the cost for this evening and subsidise the event Malaysian Association started to embarked on an aggressive campaign  early to raise fund through donation  from Canadian cooperation. Thank to the many individual Canadians and cooperation as well as the Malaysian High Commission in Canada this event was successfully organized with a fun fill evening and delicious foods.

                         Highlight of the evening was Elvis impersonator sing Elvis hits well applause by all attended including a party crashes from another party in the next door at the same banquet. Chinese New Year without the Lion dance will be hard press to imagine and graciously provided by the CMG (Creative Management Group) Artist Management event coordinator for the evening.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2014

  

The 14th annual Community Crime Awareness Day will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Mississauga Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive.  This event is organized by the Mississauga Chinese Business Association in partnership with the Peel Regional Police, Rogers TV and Safe City Mississauga.

The Community Crime Awareness Day serves as a tool for citizens to come together and learn about community safety and policing issues in the region, emphasizing cohesion and municipal harmony. 

It is an event combining information, entertainment and friendship to promote a positive, safe and supportive environment for people who live and work in Mississauga. 

Since its inception 13 years ago, the event’s attendance has continued to grow.  We anticipate this year’s event will attract 10,000 audiences.  The response received to-date from the communities has been very positive because the event provides an opportunity for the community and business members to gain a better understanding of crime awareness as well as community based policing initiatives currently undertaken by various police services.

The event is a great day out for families and friends.  Admission is FREE.  Attendees can enjoy FREE food and drink, pop corn and cotton candy.  Live entertainment and activities throughout the day gives attendees plenty to do, from   cultural performance to  taekwondo demonstrations, and from Catching a Fish game to the Peel Regional Police’s robot demonstration.  In addition, hot dog eating contest, face painting, inflatable games, stilt walker, wheel of fortune and lucky draws are lined up amongst other activities for the day.

The event features over 60 booth displays courtesy of Peel Regional Police, Fire Department, St. John Ambulance as well as organizations from different communities and business sponsors.

密市市府廣場舉行

今年已經邁進第十四屆的警民同樂日，將於9月27日(星期六) 由中午12 時開始至下午5時在密市市府廣場（300 City Centre Drive）盛大舉行。

密西沙加華商會多年來得到市政府，皮爾區警察局，羅渣士電視台和密市安全委員會，和各大商户、機構、社區團體的支持下，警民同樂日已經成為密市每年一度的家庭活動盛日。

多年來主辦警民同樂日的密西沙加華商會，滙集了歷屆的經驗將繼續為密市成為全加拿大最安全的城市的美譽作出貢獻。防止罪案是各社區組織、市民和警察的共同責任。

一如以往，皮爾區警察各部門、消防局、聖約翰救傷隊、各社區組織及商户，均派出代表參與展出攤位，市民除可藉此機會認識警隊各部門之運作外，並可學習辨認偽鈔及毒品，更會獲發大量紀念贈品及防止罪案資料，讓大家得到更多資訊。

今年表演節目包括關注及防止罪案短劇、多元文化音樂舞蹈、傳統舞獅、拆彈機械人、排舞表演、功夫及跆拳道表演等。

徇眾要求鬥快食熱狗比賽將會捲土重來。極受歡迎之「捉小魚」攤位今年將繼續設立，此外還有大量適合小童之充氣遊戲、畫臉、行高蹺表演及幸運輪。此活動費用全免，參加者還可享用免費小吃、棉花糖及爆玉米。

過去多年，每年前來參加的市民超過一萬人。希望今年繼續得到各界的支持和參與，創出更理想的安全社區，促進密市經濟繁榮。

Malaysian Association of Canada 2014 Annual Picnic

The Malaysian Association of Canada is a Canadian social and cultural group aim in getting Canadian a better understanding of the Malaysian culture and to foster greater relationship between Canada and Malaysia. The Association work in close communication with the Malaysian consulate especially the Malaysian Tourism Board director here locally in Toronto.

The Picnic was hosted by the Association annually by the Association with the premier sponsor the Malaysian Consulate of Canada. Hundreds of Malaysian Association  members and their friends were on hand to celebrate the day at Simeon Park (a private park) in Gormley, Stouffville. Although, this is a potluck picnic however, Malaysian Association of Canada has engaged Gourmet Malaysia to cater lots of food for the day. The children were also entertained with organized sports but mainly the idea was to empower members and visitors to social and to catch up with each others over the busy summer months.

Scarborough Summerfest 2014

Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC) is partnering with Scarborough Town Jazz Festival, Toronto Hakka Heritage Alliance and the TO Food Fest in the Scarborough Summerfest from August 8 to 10, 2014 to celebrate multiculturalism in a fun-filled and entertaining fashion with all walks of life in Scarborough and the neighbouring areas. The festival will be showcasing different forms of music, dances, arts and crafts, foods and entertainment of diverse ethnicities.

Dayali Beijing Duck Restaurant Open second Restaurant in GTA

On Tuesday a happy Mayor of Richmond Hill was all smile to celebrate the grand opening of its first Beijing most famous Chinese Beijing Roasted Duck  Restaurant with over eighty location in  China and the only two location in Canada.  Voted the best ten restaurants by Globe and Mail, this restaurant is mainly famous for its famous Beijing Roasted duck menu. Dayali is the name of the famous sweet Chinese pear available in any supermarket. Now Richmond Hill is the site for the second restaurant in Canada with pack house daily in the first restaurant in Markham. Hopefully, this would make it easier to book a table at this restaurant and also the Markham location.

Richmond Hill Member of Parliment Costas Menegakis read out the congratution and well wish during the grand opening from Prime Minister Stephen Harper as well as his own. Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade Michael Chen Member of Provincial Parliment for Markham Unionville arrived a little late due other engagement later presented Primer Hon Kathleen O. Wynne congratulatory letter to the restaurant.

Later the dignitary had the honour to dot the eyes of the Northern Lion. After all the speeches every one invited to the event were entertain to a special Beijin Roasted duck diner at the restaurant.

MAC Malaysian Association of Canada twenty fifth annual Golf tournament 2014

As I drove to Angus Glen Golf Club at eleven o'clock in the morning to prepared my plan to help the Malaysian Association of Canada celebrate and photo shoot the golf tournament, the sky was grey, representing a happy sign that the day is perfect for my work. Except for a down side for a possible bad rain to ruin my photo shoot and possibly the golf tournament. However, mother nature was very kind and thankfully it did not pour.

Twenty five years ago Mr. Henry Lee and Gopal from MAC (Malaysian Association of Canada) and a handful of directors from the association gather to discuss the plan to start a golf tournament. At first Mr. Henry Lee reported that they had thirty interest participants.  So the game was on and twenty five years strong later the game grew with over hundred participants.

Beijing General Aviation Cooperation Signing Ceremony January 17th 2012

Tuesday January 17th. 2012 at Double Tree Airport Hilton Toronto.

After many hundreds of hours of hard works between Canadian and the Chinese representatives finally come the glorious moment on Tuesday January 17th. 2012 when both parties came together and formally signed the mutual cooperation betweem the Burlington airport in Peel and the Beijing General Aviation to train Chinese Pilot here in Burlington. This is a huge success stories for the Canada China Business Communication Council because of there influence and knowledge of Chinese Culture help negotiate this deal. Thousand of Chinese commercial pilot will come and stay in Burlington to be train as commercial pilot at our local Burlington airtport.

CCBCC inauguration Gala

Tonight the Canada China Business Communication Council launch its first inauguration gala to a capacity crowd at Double Tree Hotel by Hilton at 655 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario. On hand to help the Council celebrate its inauguration were Honorable Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board and  Minister for the Federal Economic Initiative for Northern Ontario, Mayor Hazel McCallion Mayor of Mississauga, Honorable Bob Decheart Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, MP Brad Butt, MP Lizon Wladyslaw, Peel Police Chief Mike Metcalf, Councillor Jim Tovey of Mississauga Ward 1, Hon. Judge Mina Fung, as well as Mayor Susan Fennell, the Mayor of Brampton City, Ontario.

According to Mr. Victor Oh the Chair and founder of the Canada-China Business Communication Council, the organization was the result of the special invitation by the Prime Minister's office to be part of his delegate to China on his first official visit there. Since then CCBCC has successful help Sheridan College to start talk for a joint venture with a Chinese University to established a University in China.

Annual Golf Tournament organized by the GTA Chinese Business Associations

Winners of todays golf tournament and the

executives from all the GTA Chinese Business Associations

At 12:00 noon today Wednesday July 27th 2011 about one hundred and twenty guests and friends were at the The Mandarin Golf & Country Club on 11207 Kennedy Road , Markham , ON L6C 1P2 to  registered themselves for the GTA Chinese Business Associations annual golf tournament. Last year individual Chinse Business Association hold their own golf tournament. However, this year they decided to consolidate their efforts to organized a consolidated sport event. Hopefully going forward this would be a joint effort golf tournament held annually to leverage better cooperation and networking for all the Chinese Business Associations members.

This year game was previledge to have Parlimentary Secretary for Multiculturalism and Member of Parliment for Willowdale Mr. Chung Sen Leung participating in the tournament and diner after the golf games.

On top of all mother nature was very cooperative giving a bright sunny and breeeze day. Althought at the start of the tournament it was hot and humid but later there was a slight over cast making a perfect day for golf.

Singapoorean Malaysian Association 2011 New Year Celebration

This year as the tiger leave the Chinese lunar calendar on February 3rd. 2011, the rabbit hopped in. Gone are Tigers which are physically powerful, gracious, independent and brave, they are extremely bold animals. They are friendly and loving but can also selfish and short tempered. Tigers seek attention and power; frequently they are envious in a relation. Tigers live dangerously which often leads to trouble. They are intolerant, take risks and are always searching for excitement. Tigers are also instilled with a good dose of courage.

This year Singapore Malaysian Association celebrated the Chinese New on the Saturday February 5th 2011 at The Golden Regency Restaurant in Pacific Mall with The Honorable John Duncan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in attendance as well as leader of the opposition party in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario Mr. Tim Hudak. As well as Chair of the SafeCity Missisauga Mr. Victor Oh.

Althought the party started like all Malaysian and Singaporean function which is about half an hour late noboby seen to mind but busy greeting friends the have miss seeing since last year New Year party.
